Partners with Tickets For Less to distribute Kansas City Royals tickets to Secondary Market
Washington D.C. and Kansas City, MO – November 14, 2016: DTI Management (“DTI”), a ticket inventory management platform and leading supplier of live event tickets to online resale marketplaces, today announced the launch of the DTI Affiliated Retail Outlet Program with its first partner, Tickets For Less, Kansas City’s leading retail ticket broker with deep knowledge of the local sports market. DTI also announced an agreement with Major League Baseball’s Kansas City Royals to distribute a significant portion of the team’s ticket inventory to the secondary market.
Based in Alexandria, Virginia, DTI streamlines live event ticket distribution and provides a more controlled secondary ticket selling environment for sports teams, event producers, music artists, venues, and ticket brokers. DTI’s current partners include the Cleveland Cavaliers, New Jersey Devils, and Phoenix Suns. DTI also supplies ticket inventory to various partners, including StubHub, SeatGeek, Vivid Seats, Ticketmaster, and now through local brokers participating in its Affiliated Retail Outlet Program.
“We are very excited to partner with Tickets For Less and the Royals, and to play a major role in optimizing the ticket distribution process for the team and for our broker network,” said Curtis Cheng, Founder and CEO of DTI Management. “We are also thrilled to launch our Affiliated Retail Outlet Program, and invite local brick and mortar ticket brokers to contact us to learn more about how they can share in the benefits of this program and participate in other large-scale DTI partnerships.”
The online market for live event tickets has been growing steadily amid the shift from physical tickets and at-home printing towards a digital and mobile ticketing experience. However, having a specialized network of local brokers provides consumers with another great option. Additionally, the knowledge gained from local retail partnerships will aid in the day-to-day management of DTI’s exclusive, consolidated ticketing deals.
“We are delighted to join with DTI as their first affiliated retailer, which we believe will be a home run for Royals fans and our loyal customers,” said Dan Rouen, President of Tickets For Less. “We have a reliable supply of tickets for the Royals and other teams, and the additional resources will allow us to continue to provide our customers with the best service and ticket prices in Kansas City.”
By partnering with Tickets For Less and launching its Affiliated Retail Outlet Program, DTI has taken a step towards consolidating sports team ticket inventories, as well as online and physical distribution channels for the sale of tickets in the secondary market.
“The Kansas City Royals welcome the opportunity to work with DTI Management,” said Michael Bucek, the team’s Vice President – Marketing and Business Development. “Their ticket distribution platform and inventory management technology will increase efficiency and streamline our ticket resale market.”
In October, DTI received a $75 million growth investment from CVC Capital Partners and New Amsterdam Growth Capital.
