Pop-singer Dua Lipa has been supporting Bruno Mars on his latest tour in Australia, but had to cancel two concert dates due to emergency dental surgery.

Lipa will not be performing at tonight’s (March 14) show as well as tomorrow’s (March 15) both in Brisbane. Originally, Lipa tweeted a picture of her teeth, jokingly claiming, “Your girls been blessed with 33 teeth. I’ve always been an overachiever.” However, earlier today, the singer explained that she had been performing with an awful pain in her mouth – due to her wisdom teeth. She was advised by her dentist and oral surgeon that she had to immediately have the teeth removed, despite the current tour. Lipa also posted a video of her swollen face.

“I have been enjoying this tour so much and I’m so upset that life has gotten in the way but hopefully I’ll have a speedy recover and make it back as soon as possible,” she said in another tweet. “Thank you for your understanding.”

While on Mars’s 24K Magic Tour, Lipa was the highly-anticipated supporting act in Australia and New Zealand. Live Nation tweeted to confirm that  set times would remain the same, however Lipa will be replaced by DJ Leggo My Fueggo at both dates, with Mars due on stage at 9:15 p.m. There has been no information regarding ticket refunds for either date.

Lipa will continue on Mars’s tour, headed to Sydney, Adelaide and Perth. Additionally, she is scheduled to continue her own self-titled tour throughout Europe and Asia this May and begin the North America leg of the tour on June 5.
