Basketball, the 2018 Masters Golf Tournament and four-day passes to Lollapalooza scored the top three spots on yesterday’s best-selling events list, according to sales data from Ticket Club.
The Los Angeles Lakers game against the San Antonio Spurs took the top spot as best-selling event of the day. Los Angeles defeated San Antonio by a mere 10 points, finishing 122-112. Another hot-selling game yesterday was between the Toronto Raptors and the Boston Celtics, where Toronto won 96-78.
This year’s Masters Golf Tournament begins today and runs through Sunday in Augusta, Georgia with $11 million up for grabs. Other notable sports events include yesterday’s NHL match where the Chicago Blackhawks defeated the St. Louis Blues 4-3, WWE’s Wrestlemania this Sunday, and the Kentucky Derby in May.
Lollapalooza took the spot for third best-selling event; the festival will commence this August, featuring headlining acts Bruno Mars, The Weeknd, Jack White, and Arctic Monkeys. Justin Timberlake, Pearl Jam, and Jennifer Lopez concerts are selling quick as their tours are in motion. Imagine Dragons, Beyonce and Jay-Z, and passes to Coachella are hot commodities, due to upcoming shows. Next weekend’s MiamiBash and tonight’s Los Angeles date on the LIT AF Tour, featuring Martin Lawrence, Michael Blackson, DeRay Davis and Rickey Smiley, also made the list.
Theater shows Hamilton and Springsteen on Broadway were among the day’s top-selling events.
