Last night, the card magician Shin Lim was announced the winner of America’s Got Talent Season 13, landing himself a $1 million prize and a headlining show in Las Vegas.

Lim, 26, is due to headline America’s Got Talent Live at the Paris Theater at the Paris Las Vegas hotel in Nevada from November 2 through November 4. While the show will star Lim, it will also feature contestants from this season. The other acts who were among the top five include comedian Samuel J Comroe, violinist Brian King Joseph, singer Michael Ketterer, and dance group Zurcaroh.

Throughout the season, Lim has proved his worth as an up-close magician; he has made cards disappear into thin air, pulled them out of his mouth, and made them appear in various places. Additionally, he has instantly changed the shape, size, and color of the cards in his hands.

During Lim’s final performance, he took judge Simon Cowell’s advice to show that he is more of a performer by taking a step away from the card table. He started his act at the piano and took advantage of the entire stage before doing his usual routine in front of a table with his deck of cards. The visualization must have paid off; the judges believed that was his best performance throughout the competition.

“I learned so much going away from the table,” Lim told USA Today of the performance. “It’s harder because it’s something I’m uncomfortable with. So, I really feel like I now have the confidence to build on it. [The finale] was my way of growing as a magician, and I think I’m going to follow that path of getting bigger and having a full show.”

America’s Got Talent Live will go on sale to the public tomorrow, September 21 at 10 a.m. at agtvegas.com. To stay updated on Lim and his upcoming performances, including his solo show in Vegas, visit his website.
