The hard-rock group Disturbed announced their first United Service Organizations Tour, where they will play shows for their U.S. military personnel fanbase.
Distrubed will play a show at Creech Air Force Base in Indian Springs, Nevada on October 23, followed by a gig at the Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas on October 24. The band will also be able to engage with the military members, noting that they’re “honored every time we are able to perform for our troops and pay respects to our service men and women.”
“They sacrifice so much for their love of our country & we look forward to partnering with the USO for the first time as a Force Behind the Forces to bring them a moment of escape from all that they do for us on a daily basis,” Disturbed guitarist Dan Donegan said in a statement.
Mari Villalobos, the USO director of entertainment relationships, said the band has an “enthusiastic military fan base.”
“We at the USO are excited to bring [Disturbed] directly to the fans who appreciate them so much,” Villalobo said. “We hope this will be the first of many partnerships with them and other Warner Bros. Records artists as we continue to keep service members connected to family, home and country.”
The USO concerts will precede the band’s 2019 tour, which was announced in September. The North American ‘Evolution Tour’ is set to hit cities like Albuquerque, Las Vegas, Chicago, Nashville, San Diego, and more. While the corresponding dates haven’t been announced yet, the band plans on announcing official dates, as well as additional cities, soon.
Their upcoming tour and USO concerts have been revealed in support of Disturbed’s seventh studio album, Evolution. The album is set to drop on October 19 and will feature the single “Are You Ready.” Evolution will follow the band’s last record, 2015’s Immortalized.
Disturbed are due to perform at Chicago, Illinois’ Vic Theatre tomorrow, October 10, and at Austin City Limits music festival on October 13. Check out their upcoming tour dates below and initial cities announced for the Evolution Tour.
