Popstar Christina Aguilera will headline “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve” – her first performance at the annual event since 2007.
The lineup also includes the indie-rockers Bastille, country duo Dan & Shay, and the boyband New Kids on the block. Additionally, the West Coast show features a star-studded lineup, offering performances from Shawn Mendes, Dua Lipa, Halsey, Camilla Cabello, and more. The Central Time Zone celebration, hosted in New Orleans, will include shows from Florida Georgia Line and Maren Morris.
Aguilera’s performance follows her Liberation Tour – her first tour in 10 years in support of her latest comeback record.
“I kinda felt like I was asleep at the wheel and going in autopilot for the past few years, not living up to my full potential and the purpose of why I’m living on this Earth: to sing and make music,” Aguilera told EW of Liberation. “So I’m getting back to that and getting back to my own personal truth. It’s almost like a new shedding of skin.”
During her last NYE performance, Aguilera performed “Candyman” and “Fighter.” It’s unknown if she will bring back a throwback hit like “Genie in a Bottle” or perform one of her hit tracks off Liberation like “Fall in Line.”
Aguilera will take the stage just before the ball drops on December 31st in Times Square, New York City. The event will also be programmed live on ABC starting at 8 p.m.
