R&B icon Diana Ross, who will turn 75-years-old this March, will celebrate her birthday this spring and summer with a brief string of U.S. tour dates.
Preceding the tour, Ross is set to perform her previously-announced three-night residency at Wynn Las Vegas, kicking-off tomorrow. In mid-April, Ross will hit the road to play five shows across the country, starting in Catoosa, Oklahoma. From there, she’ll make stops in New Orleans, New York, and Vienna, Virginia before wrapping-up in Morrison, Colorado at the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheatre.
Earlier this month, Ross performed at the Grammys, where she sang her hit “Best Years of My Life” and debut solo single “Reach Out and touch (Somebody’s Hand).” Back in 2012, she was recognized with a Lifetime Achievement Award for her career that spans more than 50 years.
She is best-known for hit singles “Stop! In The Name Of Love” and “You Can’t Hurry Love” while performing as the lead vocalist of the Motown group the Supremes, as well as solo tracks “Touch Me In The Morning” and “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough.”
On her actual 75th birthday, March 26, hundreds of theaters across the country will show Diana Ross Live in Central Park, a concert film showcasing her two-night performance at Central Park’s Great Lawn in 1983.
