Evanescence Plots 2019 Headlining Summer Tour
Gothic-rock band Evanescence will hit the road once again to tour in support of their latest record, Synthesis.
Over the past two years, Evanescence has consistently been touring the country. This May, they’ll kick-off a brief trek in Jacksonville, Florida, followed by shows in cities like Atlanta, Concord, Washington D.C. and Uncasville. They’ll also hit a handful of music festivals including North Carolina’s Epicenter, Wisconsin’s Rockfest, and Impact Festival in Bangor, Maine.
Synthesis was released in 2017 and featured the single “Lacrymosa.” The LP followed 2016’s Lost Whispers and their 2011 self-titled record. The band is best-known for their intense, eerie sound, heard on hit singles like Fallen‘s “Bring Me To Life” and “My Immortal” along with “Lithium” and “Call Me When You’re Sober” from The Open Door.
According to Loudwire, lead vocalist Amy Lee is hoping to work on new music soon, stating that a new album is on her “to-do list.”
“We’re going to take a little bit of time, but the next thing we’re going to focus on creatively is just the next full Evanescence album. That’s the plan,” Lee told Loudwire last year. “I think as a band, we’re all in a really good place with each other. I’ve been with the guys — Will, Troy and Tim — now for over a decade. Jen’s the new kid on the block but she brings a lot of positivity and energy to the group and we’re excited for her to be with us. We’re all happy together and we make a great team and we’re excited to make more music together.”
