Country superstar Garth Brooks has broken Heinz Field’s ticket sales record for his now sold-out show at the Pittsburgh stadium.

Brooks announced a 2019 arena tour late last year which is set to span across three-years, hitting 10 to 12 stadiums a year. The Heinz Field show sold 72,887 tickets, breaking the previous record set on September 10, 2016 for the University of Pittsburgh v. Penn State football game and U2’s record at a show in 2011.

“The in-the-round seating for Garth allows for every seat in the stadium to be open, whereas most of the other shows we have to close off any seats in the south end and south corners,” Nick Sero, communications manager at Heinz Field, told the Post-Gazette. “This show also has a bit of a larger group of people on the floor.”

This will be Brooks’ first stadium concert in Pittsburgh and his first concert in the city since 2015.

Brooks’ upcoming tour is nearly sold out in every city; the trek will kick-off at St. Louis, Missouri’s The Dome At America’s Center on March 9. From there, he’ll make stops at Arizona’s State Farm Stadium, Florida’s Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, and Minneapolis’ U.S. Bank Stadium before hitting Heinz Field.
