While Washington Redskins season tickets will remain the same price this season, the team is adding benefits for their season ticket holders this year via the comprehensive membership program “Redskins Gold.”

Earlier this month, season ticket holders received renewal notices that outlined new benefits starting this season. These additional ticketholder perks include dedicated entrances and concession lines at FedEx Field, along with a multitude of discounts primarily for season ticket members. These discounts will be in addition to last year’s 20 to 50 percent discount on select items.

Chris Bloyer, Redskins’ senior VP of operations and guest experience, noted that Redskins Gold is similar to “TSA Pre,” according to the Washington Post.

“There will be a Redskins Gold entrance or entrances for season ticket members at each gate,” he said. “There will be the same thing at a select number of concession stands, mostly at the larger concession stands that have the larger lines.”

Season ticket holders will be invited to four members-only events, which includes a fan fest that will be held during the offseason – either during a workout session or minicamp at Redskins Park. Members-only fan forums, which have been conducted in recent years in a town hall setting at FedEx Field, will also be held multiple times throughout the year at various locations. Additionally, there will be a member appreciation game during the regular season, offering special access and activities for season ticket members.

This year’s “Taste of FedEx Field,” usually held as an event for members to preview the team’s new concessions, will now be re-branded as a season kick-off party. Members will not only be able to sample new food and drinks, but will also get a chance to look at experimental changes to the stadium like the new fan pavilion that was added under the scoreboard.

“We are working on some changes to the stadium and working with architects as we speak in trying to come up with some final designs that we hope to announce very soon,” Bloyer said.

All of these perks will be in addition to Redskins Rewards, another program under Redskins Gold, which allows members to redeem points for team memorabilia and field passes, among other specialty gifts. Members will also be able to enjoy a free subscription to NFL Game Pass and NFL RedZone for the second consecutive year.

The Redskins hope to increase attendance this year since they ranked 27th in the NFL with an average of 61,028 fans per home game during the 2018 season.
