The classic country-rock band Alabama were slated to perform at Connecticut’s Mohegan Sun Arena tonight, but due to medical issues, the show has been postponed until the fall.

Ahead of the Uncasville show, the band released a statement detailing frontman Randy Owen’s medical issues. Owen reportedly has a severe sinus infection with an infected throat, so his doctor has put him on vocal rest for a week. The group will return to the arena on Thursday, August 29. While tickets will be honored at the new show date, refunds are also available at point of purchase.

The group had to cancel a pair of shows earlier this year in Indianapolis and Detroit after Owen was experiencing “severe back spasms.” They also shuffled around their tour schedule, rescheduling a batch of shows due to “logistical issues.”

Alabama is currently touring in support of their 50th anniversary. They’re scheduled to perform next in Providence, Rhode Island on April 26, followed by gigs in cities like Cedar Rapids, Oshkosh, Salt Lake City, and Minneapolis. Additionally, they are set to make an appearance at the country music festival Tumbleweed in Kansas City from May 30 to June 1 and the Country Jam in Connecticut from June 13 to 16.

Ahead of the tour, the group noted that fans are the ones “responsible for our continued success on the road” and they’re “humbled” to have three different generations of fans coming out to see them perform live.
