Eventbrite just announced a collaboration with Google which allows eventgoers in Australia to easily find nearby concerts and live experiences simply by using Google’s new “Events In Search” feature.

Starting today, Australian residents can search for “events near me” on Google and a list of events, catered to the user’s interests, will pop-up. These events are distributed from a handful of sites, including Eventbrite, Ticketmaster, Timeout, and Concrete Playground, along with notable information about each event like the time and location. If interested, eventgoers can click on the event’s ticket link which will bring them to a ticket provider of their choice. Events can easily be shared with friends as well.

This new feature will also help users discover nearby events based on their interests. By clicking the “For You” tab, users can view a personalized list of live events and experiences, as well as trending and popular events within their area. These include events like local festivals, concerts, shows, exhibitions, meet-ups, and food tastings.

“Whether you’re in the mood for a live music gig, a yoga class or a theatre show, Eventbrite and Google will help you find a diverse array of live experiences happening in your neighbourhood,” Eventbrite General Manager of Asia Pacific, Phil Silversotne, said of the new collaboration. “The launch of this exciting new feature marks the expansion of Eventbrite’s partnership with Google as we continue our quest to connect even more Aussies with the very best live experiences our country has to offer.”

Last fall, Eventbrite announced a new integration with YouTube, allowing fans the ability to see nearby concerts and buy tickets directly from a music video page.
