Rocker and former Police frontman Sting will take his shot in Sin City next summer with a 16-date residency at Las Vegas’ The Colosseum at Caesars Palace.

The residency, dubbed Sting: My Songs, will kick-off in May 2020, followed by shows in June, August, and September. According to a press release, the show will offer “a compendium of Sting’s songs with dynamic, visual references to some of his most iconic videos and inspirations.” The 17-time Grammy winner noted in an interview with the Associated Press that he is “really committed” to making his show the true Las Vegas experience.

“Visually, sound-wise, dancing — it’s going to be a Vegas show,” he said. “I am a little frightened and a little excited at the same time.”

The title stems from his forthcoming album My Songs, set to be released on May 24. The record will see the singer re imagining tracks throughout his vast catalog and will be his first solo release since 2016’s 57th & 9th. Sting has made a name for himself in the industry, starting with his time in the rock band The Police during the late ’70s and early ’80s. The group is best-known for smash hits like “Every Breath You Take,” “Roxanne,” “Message In A Bottle,” and “Every Little Thing She Does.”

He continued with a solo career throughout the ’80s and ’90’s, garnering attention with tracks like “Englishman In New York,” “Shape of My Heart,” “Fields of Gold,” and “Desert Rose.” Last year, he released a joint album, 44/876, with Shaggy, and headed out on a tour together. It is unknown if the reggae star will join Sting during any of the residency shows.

“Being in one place is actually a different, spiritual vibe,” Sting said of the residency shows in a statement. “Welcoming people into your house — that’s basically what it’s going to be. I’ll be telling the story of my life through songs. I’ve had a long, interesting life and I can’t wait.”
