The sludge-metal band Baroness are on a roll; the group is set to drop their fifth record next month and previously announced an extensive summer tour across North America this summer. Now, the group has revealed a handful of in-store acoustic performances at record stores on the east coast in June.

While the group’s music is usually filled with heavy bass, acoustic, and screams, fans will have the chance to hear Baroness on a more intimate, softer level with a brief acoustic set. The shows will kick-off at The Sound Garden in Baltimore, Maryland, followed by shows at Philadelphia’s Creep Records, Vintage Vinyl in Fords, New Jersey, Looney Tunes in Babylon, Rough Trade in Brooklyn, and Poughkeepsie’s Darkside Records. They’ll wrap-up in Boston at ONCE/Newbury Comics on June 16.

Each acoustic show will also be a record signing event. Fans interested in attending must pre-order their forthcoming album Gold & Grey from the specific record store, aside from the Boston show, where only a limited number of tickets are available on June 14 – the record release day.

Right after the round of acoustic shows, Baroness will begin their 2019 summer tour dates in Mexico City on June 19. From there, they’ll make stops across the U.S. in cities like Hartford, Columbus, Indianapolis, Omaha, Atlanta, Jacksonville, and Charlotte. Throughout the trek they’ll visit Nashville’s Cannery Ballroom, The Chameleon in Lancaster, and the Varsity Theatre in Baton Rouge before closing out the run at Baltimore’s Sound Stage late August.

Gold & Grey will drop on June 14 via Abraxan Hymns. The LP will include previously-released singles “Seasons” and “Borderlines” and will follow 2015’s Purple.
