Fans of the play Be More Chill are in for a treat over the next two weeks to celebrate the show’s evolution and journey to Broadway.
For this limited time, fans will be able to purchase tickets to the Broadway show at special prices via the play’s website. Theatergoers can now score tickets for only $59 until June 2 for performances through July 7.
The limited-time offer will commemorate the show’s success since it first debuted at the Two River Theatre in May 2015. After the soundtrack was released, which has now been nominated for a Tony Award, Be More Chill began to garner more and more attention in the industry, scoring a spot for a sold-out off-Broadway show last summer. Now, the play is appearing at the Lyceum Theatre in New York City.
Directed by Stephen Brackett and based off of the novel by Ned Vizzini, Be More Chill revolves around the idea that through new technology, people have the ability to live a perfect life. A love triangle emerges between a boy, girl, and a voice inside the boy’s head telling him what to do. While she is striving to stand out, he is just trying to fit in, yet, through the retro sci-fi new world, the characters learn that it’s most important to be yourself, no matter what category you fall under. Will Roland stars in the show, along with George Salazar, Stephanie Hsu, and Gerard Canonico.
