The California country artist Jon Pardi has announced a new album with a debut single, along with a fall headlining tour.
The Heartache Medication Tour will kick-off with two shows at Nashville’s famous Ryman Auditorium on October 1 and 2. From there, he’ll head to Minneapolis, Milwaukee, and Oklahoma City, followed by gigs in Houston and Helotes, Texas. Pardi will then head to the West Coast for shows in Seattle, Boise, Salt Lake City, Phoenix, and San Diego before wrapping-up in Bakersfield, California. On most dates, Riley Green will offer support. Throughout the summer months, Pardi will also appear on tour with Dierks Bentley.
Heartache Medication, Pardi’s third studio album, is due May 31. So far, he’s shared the title track as the debut single from the record. The LP will follow 2016’s California Sunrise and Write You A Song from 2014.
“The single ‘Heartache Medication’ has an 80’s George Strait ‘Fool Hearted Memory’ feel to it, and is something people can dance to,” Pardi said in a statement. “That’s something I really wanted for this album. There really are no sad songs on this record-it covers a range of subjects, but is ultimately about moving on, and having a good time.”
Pardi just appeared on American Idol‘s Season 17 finale with champion Laine Hardy, where the duo sang “Dirt On My Boots” and “Night Shift.”
