The ska-punk legends of Reel Big Fish and The Aquabats are heading out on a tour together, hitting cities across North America for an ultimate summer bash.

Pittsburgh will kick-off the fun on July 2, followed by shows in cities like Nashville, Austin, Kansas City, and Winnipeg. They’ll make stops at a handful of theatres like Oklahoma’s Tower, New Orleans’ The Joy and The Pageant in St. Louis before wrapping-up in Calgary, Alberta’s The Palace Theatre on July 19. Dog Party will offer support during the run.

“We haven’t been on the road for a while so… this is going to be most fun!” Christian Jacobs of The Aquabats said in a press release. “We’ve been friends with Aaron and the Reel Big Fish-ermen for over 20 years now and after all this time, it still feels like we’re just goofing around, playing music and having fun with no other motives than to goof around, play music and have fun! We can’t wait to see everyone again!”

Both bands, hailing from Orange County, garnered attention in the ’90s. The Aquabats are celebrating their 25th anniversary this year and are set to release The Aquabats Super Show! Television Soundtrack Volume 1 next month, following 2018’s The Fury Of The Aquabats. They are best-known for 1999’s “Chemical Bomb” from their self-titled, as well as Myths, Legends And Other Amazing Adventures‘ “Pizza Day.”

Reel Big Fish emerged alongside acts like No Doubt and Sublime with the hit “Sell Out” from 1996’s Turn The Radio Off. They continued with albums like Fame, Fortune, And Fornication and Candy Coated Fury, remaining hot in the scene with their sarcastic humor and quirky stage show. Last year, they dropped the record Life Sucks…Let’s Dance!, which features the track “You Can’t Have All of Me.”

“Come out and party like it’s 1997 with two bands who have been making fools of themselves on stage for YOUR entertainment for over 20 years!” Reel Big Fish’s Aaron Barrett said in a statement, noting that “if you don’t have a good time, it’s because you HATE FUN!!!”

Ahead of the dual trek, Reel Big Fish will appear on tour with Bowling For Soup. Both groups are also slated to perform at this year’s Vans Warped Tour 25th anniversary show in Atlantic City.
