Avril Lavigne, the pop-punk princess who dominated the charts in the early 2000’s with smash hits “Sk8er Boi,” “Girlfriend,” and “What The Hell,” has returned to the music scene with a new record and tour.

The trek will kick-off on September 14 in Seattle, Washington, followed by gigs in cities like Los Angeles, Detroit, New York City, Toronto, and Washington, D.C. Along the way, she’ll make stops in smaller venues like Wallingford, Connecticut’s Oakdale Theatre, Pittsburgh’s Roxian Theatre, and the Orpheum Theatre in Boston before wrapping-up at the Xcite Center at Park Casino in Philadelphia.

Lavigne released her sixth studio album, Head Above Water, earlier this year. The record, which featured the title track, as well as the single “Dumb Blonde” with Nicki Minaj, debuted in the Top 10 on the Billboard 200. This is her first release since her 2013 self-titled LP, known for tracks “Here’s To Never Growing Up” and “Let Me Go” with Nickelback’s Chad Kroger.

Her style has dramatically changed from 2007’s The Best Damn Thing, 2004’s Under My Skin, and her debut, 2002’s Let Go. While she originally garnered attention for the angsty, emotional choruses of “When I’m Gone” and “Complicated,” her new record sheds a light on her matured vocals, tugging at heartstrings for soulful lyrics in “It Was In Me” and “Warrior.”

Fans can register to try and score presale tickets to Lavigne’s upcoming tour here, while general public tickets will be available on Friday, June 28. One dollar from each ticket sold will go toward the Avril Lavigne Foundation to support those with Lyme disease, serious illness, or disabilities.
