Popular country acts like Lady Antebellum and Chris Janson were slated to perform at the Country 4 Country Campaign Kick-off Concert in Marion, Illinois later this month, but the gig was cancelled without explanation.

Both artists were set to perform and hold meet-and-greet events at the concert on July 21 at Rent One Park, while rising acts like Jordan Davis and Tucker Beathard were also going to take the stage. Promoter Pepsi MidAmerica did not comment on why the event was cancelled, but told ABC3 that refunds will be made available via point of purchase. The concert was originally going to raise money for veterans funds like Honor Flight, Folds of Honor, and the Wounded Warrior Project, however, now Lady Antebellum and Pepsi will make donations to these organizations.

Country star Brantley Gilbert’s concert at the venue later this month will not be effected. The show, like the Antebellum concert, will also raise awareness for veteran organizations.
