The legendary rockers of Lynyrd Skynyrd have either cancelled or rescheduled shows on their their Last of the Street Survivors Farewell Tour set for this fall.
The group was supposed to stop at the Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City on August 10 with special guest Gov’t Mule, however, last night, the venue noted in a social media post that the show has been called-off due to an “unforeseen scheduling conflict” and would not be rescheduled. Tickets will be refunded at point of purchase.
Additionally, the band’s show in Albuquerque, New Mexico at the Isleta Amphitheater has been rescheduled to September 22. Tickets for this show will be honored at the new date.
While no information was given in Lynyrd Skynyrd’s post, fans are speculating that the shows were cancelled or rescheduled because keyboardist Peter Keys’ sister just passed away after a battle with cancer.
Lynyrd Skynyrd will stop next in Welch, Minnesota tomorrow, followed by gigs in Auburn, Las Vegas, Camden, Salt Lake City, and Denver. They’re also slated to make appearances at festivals like Moondance Jam, California Mid-State Fair, and Exit 111 Festival.
