The UCLA Bruins kicked-off their season with two losses, and in an attempt to boost attendance, the team is offering season ticket holders complimentary tickets.

The team started out 0-2, losing to Cincinnati and San Diego State — this is the first time since 1942 and 1943 that the team has started the season off with two losses back-to-back for two consecutive years. In an email sent to season ticket holders, obtained by 247 Sports, the UCLA Athletics Department noted that “while the result was not what we hoped it would be, we want to acknowledge you for making it to the game and supporting the Bruins on such a hot day.”

“To show our appreciation for your loyalty and commitment to UCLA Football, we would like to offer you four additional complimentary tickets to this Saturday’s home game against the No. 5 ranked Oklahoma Sooners,” the email read. “These tickets will be accessible via your UCLA Athletics account no later than 3:00 p.m. on Friday. While the tickets, valued at $280, will not be located immediately next to your current seats, you will have the ability to forward them to any family member, friend or colleague of your choice.

“This is a small token of appreciation from our department for your continued support as we continue to work every day to build a successful football program.”

The UCLA Bruins will take on the Oklahoma Sooners next on Saturday, followed by games against teams like Arizona, Oregon State, Stanford, Arizona State, Colorado, Utah, and USC. They’ll wrap-up the season on November 30 with a match against California.
