Concert promoter giant Live Nation just revealed a multi-year exclusive deal with Nashville’s The Basement East.

The intimate venue, known as “The Beast,” opened in 2015 and is co-owned by Dave Brown and Mike Grimes. It is the sister venue to The Basement, with a capacity of 400. Live Nation’s president of Tennessee Brian Traeger noted in a release that Brown and Grimes have been a staple in the Nashville music scene, “not only by giving Nashvillians the chance to see great touring acts, but also by thoughtfully nurturing local artists.”

Traeger went on to note that General Manager Tara Charles and Talent Buyer Richard Slover have “successfully raised the bar in all areas” at the venue through programming, customer service, aesthetic, and acoustics. In addition to the Basement East, Slover will join the Live Nation Nashville team as a talent buyer/promoter.

“We are thrilled to deepen our relationship with this incredible team and important venue and so happy to welcome Richard to the Live Nation family,” Traeger said.

Grimes said that the venue is excited to partner with Live Nation and start this joint venture.

“With Richard Sloven continuing his role at ‘The Beast,’ we are certain it will serve all involved and bring even more amazing live music to the Nashville community,” he noted.

Later this year, the Basement East will host artists like Mayday Parade, The Mezingers, La Dispute, and Ben Kweller. In 2020, the rockers of Hinder will take the stage. For a full list of upcoming events, visit the venue’s site.
