The Monkees will head out on a three-week tour next year following the release of their new live album.
The tour, similar to the one earlier this year, will feature surviving members Micky Dolenz and Michael Nesmith, highlighting hits from the band’s extensive catalog. Although Nesmith originally wrote on Facebook after the tour earlier this year that “the shows wear me down,” he’s decided to still hit the road once again. “An Evening With The Monkees” kicks-off on April 3 in Vancouver, British Columbia, followed by gigs in Dallas, Biloxi, San Jose, and Seattle. Along the way, they’ll appear at venues like Sacramento’s The Crest Theatre, The Magnolia in El Cajon, and Austin’s Moody Theatre before wrapping-up at Nashville’s Schermerhorn Symphony Center on April 26.
Ahead of the outing, they’ll release the live album The Mike & Micky Show on April 3. The record, which was taped during “The Monkees Present: The Mike Nesmith and Micky Dolenz Show” earlier this year. The set will likely include older hits like “I’m A Believer,” “Good Clean Fun,” and “As We Go Along,” and tracks from their latest LP Good Times! like “Birth of an Accidental Hipster” and “Me & Magdalena.” Fans who purchase tickets to the show will also receive a physical CD or digital copy of the album.
