Dave Matthews Band revealed their first U.S. concert date of 2020 at Las Vegas’ Cosmopolitan in February.
The one-off show, set to take place on February 28, will be held at The Cosmopolitan’s Chelsea. So far, this is their first confirmed appearance in the states, aside from their performance at the Innings Festival in Tempe, Arizona on February 29. From there, the group is heading overseas for an outing in Australia throughout April, performing in Byron Bay, Sydney, and Melbourne.
Earlier this year, the group embarked on a massive North American tour to support their 2018 record Come Tomorrow. The LP, which is their ninth studio album, features singles “That Girl Is You,” “Samurai Cop (Oh Joy Begin),” and “Again and Again,” following 2014’s Under The Table and Dreaming. Dave Matthews Band, best-known for 1996 hits “Crash Into Me,” “So Much to Say,” and “Too Much,” has been nominated to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Fans can vote for the group through January 10, 2020.
In addition to their touring, the band has tried to make a positive impact on the environment with green tours by partnering with Reverb Organization. Through their contributions, they’ve helped eliminate 121,00,000 pounds of CO2, eliminated the use of 478,000 single-use plastic bottles at shows, fueled 477,000 gallons of B20 Biodesel, recycled 338,000 gallons, composted 138,000 pounds of food waste, and supported 2,100 family farms across the nation, statistics from the organization shows.
