The iconic singer-songwriter James Taylor is heading out on a lengthy tour across the U.S. this summer following the release of new music.
This spring, Taylor will play a round of previously-announced shows with Bonnie Raitt across Canada. Then, he’ll cross into the states to kick-off the tour in New Orleans, Louisiana mid-May. From there, he’ll appear in Boise, San Francisco, Chicago, Boston, Atlanta, and Nashville, hitting venues along the way likeGiant Center in Hershey, the KFC Yum! Center in Louisville, and Tanglewood in Lenox before wrapping-up at the BB&T Center in Camden. During the U.S. run, Jackson Brown will provide support, with Brandi Carlile and Shawn Colvin opening the gig at Boston’s Fenway Park.
American Standard, Taylor’s 19th studio album, is due February 28 via Fantasy Records. The LP will feature reimaginings of American standards like “My Blue Heaven,” “Sit Down, You’re Rockin’ the Boat,” and “Pennies From Heaven.” The Grammy Award winner and Rock and Roll Hall of Famer is best-known for classic tunes like “Fire and Rain” and “You’ve Got A Friend In Me.”
