Elder emos were hyped to hear the news that the pop-punk heavyweights of blink-182 are heading out on a massive tour next year, but the presale prices left many fans second-guessing buying tickets to a show.
blink-182 just announced the “One More Time Tour” with Pierce The Veil in 2024, following the band’s ninth studio album, One More Time… which dropped on October 20. The record marks their first with original bassist Tom DeLonge since 2011’s Neighborhoods.
Presale tickets went on sale this week, yet similar to their initial global reunion tour, fans were met with outrageous prices. Fans took to social media to share their frustration:

While a lot of fans seemed shock, this is nothing new for the industry. No matter the artist or genre, concert ticket prices have been incredibly inflated this year, and fans are lashing out at both the ticketing giant and artist for their responsibility.
Due to Ticketmaster’s dynamic pricing policy, which increases prices based on demand, ticket prices have become unattainable. While the ticketer often cites that their programs — like dynamic pricing and platinum seating — are in place to prevent scalpers and the resale market from thriving, they’re allowing verified resale on their own site, leaving fans to watch the prices climb.
Ticketmaster and its parent company Live Nation are currently being investigated by the Department of Justice over its monopolistic practices, and legislators are speaking out about all-in ticket prices, which would force ticketing marketplaces to show a ticket’s price — with all fees included — upfront.
