Bruce Springsteen may have been born to run, but he was also apparently born to tour. The iconic American musician and the famed E Street Band have added yet another batch of concert dates to their upcoming fall 2009 itinerary.

The Working on a Dream Tour has several new dates on its concert lineup, including shows on September 21 at the Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, IA; November 20 at 1st Mariner Arena in Baltimore, MD; and November 22 at HSBC Arena in Buffalo, NY.

Additionally, a previously announced concert on September 10 at the Sommet Center in Nashville, TN, has been rescheduled for later in the tour. The new performance date is set for November 18, and all tickets for the original September date will be honored.

As an added bonus for his Nashville fans, Springsteen announced that the show’s setlist will include his seminal album “Born to Run” performed in its entirety. A similar full-album performance is also lined up for a previously announced September 20 concert at the United Center in Chicago, IL.

The next round of public onsales for the tour begins August 22 and includes dates in Des Moines, Cleveland and Auburn Hills. More upcoming onsale dates and times for Springsteen’s new dates can be found on his official Web site.

In addition to his highly publicized venue-closing run at the old Giants Stadium, Springsteen has another historic engagement planned for this fall. The musician will help close the Spectrum in Philadelphia, PA, with a recently extended run of four nights — October 13, 14, 19 and 20.

15 for $15 with Napster! The Spectrum is closing its doors later this year after more than 40 years in operation. Springsteen is one of the final artists scheduled to perform at the Spectrum, followed only by Leonard Cohen (October 22) and Pearl Jam (October 27, 28, 30, 31). As such, the venue is promoting a limited number of premium seating packages for the Boss’s four concerts. The packages include a buffet dinner and three hours of drinks, and pricing is set at $295 per ticket.

As previously announced, select venues on the upcoming tour will feature paperless ticketing for specific seating sections.

During initial onsales for some of those dates, there was no indication from Springsteen’s camp about the motivation behind the move to paperless ticketing. However, since then, his site has been updated with a simple statement that reads, in part: “Paperless Tickets will be made available for select sections at venues sold by Ticketmaster… Many non-Ticketmaster venues will also be offering this service and we will be giving those details shortly.”
