During a summer season fraught with cancelled tours and postponed concerts, even the Jonas Brothers‘ latest North American outing has not proved impervious. The sibling trio announced a series of heavy revisions to their upcoming Live in Concert Tour.

The modified 27-city schedule for the United States and Canada will launch about two weeks later than originally planned — August 7 at First Midwest bank Amphitheatre in Tinley Park, IL. The tour’s closing night also has been moved up from October to the new end-date of September 19 at Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in Irvine, CA.

Almost 20 concerts have been cut from Jonas Brothers’ original summer itinerary, and stops in some of the remaining North American tour markets have been rearranged to better fit the new routing. The summer tour will still feature support from label mate Demi Lovato, as well as appearances by several co-stars from Disney’s popular “Camp Rock” movie franchise.

In addition to these changes, a few lucky markets will now host multiple performances of the Live in Concert Tour. Runs are planned for August 16-17 at PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, NJ; August 21-22 at Jones Beach Theater in Wantagh, NY; and September 2-3 at Molson Canadian Amphitheatre in Toronto, ON.

Despite drastically cutting their U.S. and Canadian calendar, the sibling trio will push further into international territory. A Latin American tour leg has been added for the fall, beginning October 21 in Monterrey, Mexico, and wrapping November 9 in Porto Alegre, Brazil.

The group’s international routing will also include a foray into Europe during November and December, with stops plotted in the UK, Spain, France and Italy, among other regions across the continent. Exact dates and locations for late 2010 have not yet been announced.

“Every year we have been able to visit new cities and fans, and this year is no different. As you may have heard there are some changes that have been made to the routing of the tour that now includes European and Central and South American dates,” the trio said in a statement on the Web site of their official fan club, Team Jonas.

“As part of our effort to bring the best concert experience to you, we’ve had to reorganize some of the North American tour dates,” the fan club statement continued. “If we’re missing your city, please know that we love you and we will be back soon.”

The first ticket sales for the Live in Concert Tour began in May. Tickets for rescheduled shows will be honored on the new concert dates, and refunds will be issued from the original point of purchase for all cancelled dates.

A few new public onsales begin July 10 for concerts on August 17 in Holmdel, NJ; August 22 in Wantagh, NY; and September 3 in Toronto, ON. A limited number of $10 general admission lawn passes will be available for the two U.S. concerts, while all three dates will have reserved seating options priced up to almost $100, according to Live Nation event listings.
