The revolving door at RazorGator Interactive Group continues to spin. Wednesday, the ticket company announced the hiring of entertainment executive Jeffery Lapin as its new president and CEO, replacing David Lord.
Lapin, who has held leadership roles at software company THQ and House of Blues Entertainment, is RazorGator’s third president and CEO in less than four years, fourth if you count Thomas Ball, who was president and CEO of Openfield Technology which RazorGator acquired three years ago. In addition to his new title, Lapin also gains a seat on the Board of Directors….
RazorGator has grown in recent years to be a mainstay in the top 10 of secondary ticket sellers, according to Ticketnews.com’s exclusive weekly ranking of resellers. Helping to fuel its success are its partnership deals with several NFL teams.
Just when Lord relinquished his duties is unknown. The company said he remains with the RazorGator as president of its RazorGator Experiences division, which creates group trips to sporting events. His name began appearing on company press releases as head of the Experience division in January of this year, and in the summer of 2006 he was named Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year for the Los Angeles region. A RazorGator spokesperson, did not return telephone calls by deadline.
“We’re pleased to welcome Jeff Lapin to RazorGator Interactive Group,” board member Russell Siegelman said in a prepared statement. ”His creativity, professionalism and leadership will be tremendous assets to the company as we begin our next phase of growth. We look to his strengths and experience to take the family of RazorGator brands to the next level in this rapidly expanding market.”
Lapin has a Bachelor of Science in economics from U.C.L.A. and a Jurist Doctor from Loyola Law School. Most recently, after his tenures at THQ and House of Blues, Lapin was executive Chairman of the Board at international mobile entertainment company IN-FUSIO. He has also held executive positions with Starwood Hotels & Results.

I thought Tom Ball got rid of the lunatic Doug Knittle…
Lapin is a complete moron…. interestingly enough no one mentioned his vacation at Take-Two Interactive where he helped not only run them into the ground but cook the books… crooked and stupid… beauty… buy buy!
Knittle was nothing but a crook anyway, he even faked the robbery of his own temporary ticket office during the 2004 (?) WOrld Cup. there a bunch of wanna be gansters
Jeff lapin is a total moron….he has zero point zero clue what he is doing…good luck donkey!
Ball did not fire Doug Knittle. Knittle remained with RazorGator as one of its key employees until late 2006, when he left due to disagreements with new management. He has since launched a new business…. http://www.oleole.com
I thought Knittle and Ball were good friends but I just heard Ball beat up Knittle in a fight in a meeting one day.
