Marilyn Manson, birth name Brian Hugh Warner, was born in January of 1969 in Canton, Ohio. Known for his controversial lyrics and image, he formed his band Marilyn Manson in Fort Lauderdale, Florida in the late 1980’s. The band drew a cult following with their first two album releases, “Portrait of an American Family” (1994) and “Smells Like Children” (1995). Three of the band’s albums were awarded platinum certification, three more gold, and three with top ten debuts, two of which stole the number one spot.
In addition to his musical career, Manson also made a number of appearances in the film and television industry. His film career debuted in 1997 when he acted in David Lynch’s “Lost Highway”. Since then he played a number of minor roles and cameos in various movies, including “Party Monster”, “Jawbreaker” (1998), The Heart is Deceitful Above All Things; Rise” (2004), and “The Hire: Beat the Devil”.
