Music superstar Usher has cancelled his wedding to 37-year-old pregnant fiancée Tameka Foster. It was rumored that Usher’s uninvited mother did not approve of her 28-year-old son’s nuptials, but the child the singer and his fiancée are scheduled to have in the fall would be his first and her fourth, according to published reports.
Usher had no comment as to why the wedding was called off. It is still unclear as to whether or not the couple is together. He has plans to release a new album later this year, but tour information was not immediately available. Usher’s previous album, the Grammy Award-winning “Confessions,” sold more than 8 million copies domestically, but the singer has watched over the past year as Justin Timberlake has jumped atop the R&B throne. . .
A statement released by Usher’s publicist states, “It was announced today that the wedding ceremony for Usher Raymond, and Tameka Foster was canceled. No additional information will be given regarding the circumstances of the cancellation, but we hope the privacy of this matter will be respected.”
The wedding was scheduled for today at record executive LA Reid’s Hamptons, NY home.
