Would-be concertgoers and ticket buyers have one last chance to grab tickets for Paul McCartney’s summer performances and the 15th annual Vans Warped Tour as those events close during the week ending August 24, as compiled by TicketNews.
What started as just a few scattered concert dates turned into a summer tour of the U.S. and Canada for former Beatle and prolific musician Paul McCartney. Sir Paul has one more gig left in the states this season as he prepares for his August 19 show at the new Dallas Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, TX. That performance will close out his ten-date itinerary, which opened in mid-July with a show in Halifax, NS, followed by a much publicized three-show run at Citi Field in New York, NY.
Festival goers have just five days remaining to enjoy the 15th annual Vans Warped Tour. The summer-long traveling festival continues tomorrow, August 19 at Save Mart Center in Fresno, CA, and concludes for the season on August 23 at The Home Depot Center in Carson, CA. This year’s tour features performances by bands such as Bad Religion, 3OH!3, Less Than Jake and more. The Warped Tour officially launched on June 26 at the Pomona Fairplex in Pomona, CA.
One of the summer’s hottest tours is courtesy American Idol-originating rock band Daughtry. Fronted by Chris Daughtry, a former contestant on the reality competition, the group has four more shows lined up, from August 18 at Marquee Theatre in Tempe, AZ, through August 22 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, NV. Judas Priest will be off the road after four final U.S. concerts this week. The veteran metal band has shows slated from August 19 at Germain Arena in Estero, FL, through August 23 at Meadowbrook U.S. Cellular Pavilion in Gilford, NH. Fall Out Boy will be sticking close to the on-going Blink-182 reunion tour through early October as a supporting act, but the pop-punk band has just one headline date on the calendar, and it’s coming up this week on August 19 at The Pageant in St. Louis, MO.
While Blondie and Pat Benatar has plenty of tour dates left on their separate itineraries, those leading ladies of rock have only a few shows left together. The co-headline ticket has its final gig stops inked for August 20 at Austin Music Hall in Austin, TX; August 22 at Beau Rivage Resort & Casino in Biloxi, MS; and August 23 at Arena Theater in Houston, TX. Catering to a younger audience, co-bill performers Demi Lovato and David Archuleta have a final run of six concerts, mostly in the Northeast U.S. The tween-friendly tour picks up August 18 at DTE Energy Music Theatre in Clarkston, MI, and concludes August 24 at Verizon Wireless Arena in Manchester, NH.
“Last Chance” information is compiled at the beginning of the week, based on touring acts whose current itineraries are closing over the course of that week. The availability of tickets for Last Chance events depends on primary and secondary seller inventory, and may vary as tickets are sold in the days leading up to each event.
