Celtic Thunder is a Celtic vocal quintet, composed of Paul Byrom, George Donaldson, Keith Harkin, Ryan Kelly and Damian McGinty. The group was formed in 2007, performing in their first concert at Dublin City University in August of that year. Celtic Thunder has released three albums since its founding, including “Celtic Thunder,” “Act Two” and “Take Me Home,” which was released in 2009. They have also performed live on two DVD releases, “Celtic Thunder: The Show” and “Take Me Home,” the latter of which was released jointly with the CD of the same name.
In 2008, the group performed in 50 cities on their US tour, appearing in front of sold-out crowds and receiving rave reviews. In the spring of 2009, their focus was mostly on Canada, and they continued onto the U.S. in the fall. A new CD/DVD combo, entitled “Storm,” will consist of a live recording at the Toronto International Centre Hall 5 in October 2009.
Celtic Thunder tour begins new concert program for fall 2010 dates
Since 2008 contemporary vocal group Celtic Thunder has built a successful career touring North America extensively. This fall, the quintet and its crew of backing musicians will undertake another 40-date run across the U.S. and Canada.
The late season tour launches September 24 at Casino Rama Entertainment Centre in Rama, ON, and continues through a November 23 performance at Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater, FL.
Celtic Thunder tour plots next round U.S. concert dates for fall
The latest Celtic music sensation, vocal quintet Celtic Thunder has announced plans for a fall 2009 tour of the United States to follow the release of their latest record. The 27-date tour begins October 8 at Tilles Center Concert Hall in Greenvale, NY, and ends November 17 at the Verizon Wireless Theater in Houston, TX.
The quintet will stop along the way for performances on October 10 at the Citi Performing Arts Center in Boston, MA; October 17 at the Hippodrome in Batlimore, MD; October 24 at the Fox Theater in Atlanta, GA; November 5 at Paramount Theater in Denver, CO, and November 10-11 at Marion Oliver McCaw Hall in Seattle, WA.

More ticketing drama is surfacing for Disney starlet Miley Cyrus. Premium seats in the first 25 rows at each venue will be sold as part of a merchandise VIP package for $295 to members of her official fan club, which requires a paid subscription. Exact seat locations will not be disclosed to purchasers until the evening of the event.
Celtic Thunder tour returns to North America for spring dates
Irish quintet Celtic Thunder is redoubling its touring efforts in North America this year after completing a successful three-month run in fall 2008. The outing begins March 21 at landmark Theatre in Syracuse, NY, and ends May 7 at UBC Thunderbird Arena in Vancouver, BC.
Thirty headlining performances are currently booked for the tour, which features an extensive 18-show trek across the Canadian provinces. North of the border, the vocalists will perform April 9 at Harbour Station in St. John, NB; April 19 at the John Labatt Centre in London, ON; April 27 at the MTS Centre in Winnipeg, MB; and May 3 at Credit Union Centre in Saskatoon, SK, among other dates.
Celtic Thunder tour rolls across North America
The hit Irish quintet Celtic Thunder has announced plans for its first national tour of the U.S. this fall. The extensive 51-date trek begins October 3 at the Broome County Arena in Binghamton, NY, and continues through December 17 at the Rosemont Theatre in Chicago, IL.
Highlights for the Celtic Thunder trek include an October 7-8 run at Radio City Music Hall in New York, NY, and two separate shows at Agganis Arena in Boston, MA, on October 6 and October 28. A single Canadian engagement is scheduled for October 23 at the Air Canada Centre Theatre in Toronto, ON.
