Reel Big Fish is a ska punk band from Huntington Beach, California. They became famous for their hit song "Sell Out" from their second album "Turn the Radio Off" in 1996, during the wave of ska in the 1990's. They reached higher on the rock charts in 2002 with their single "Where Have You Been?" from their album "Cheer Up."
Reel Big Fish is currently wrapping up some concerts they performed in November and December throughout the West coast. They will be going on tour in January going to a few more West coast states and Europe. They will also be performing at the 2010 Vans Warped Tour.
Dubfest debut to feature Bunny Wailer, Reel Big Fish, more
More than 12 diverse reggae, ska and alternative artists will appear on two music stages at South Florida’s new music festival, DubFest, this fall, when the AEG Live-produced festival will showcase the ocean and beach culture of South Florida on September 5 at ArtsPark in downtown Hollywood, FL.
Grammy-winning reggae artist Bunny Wailer will make his only confirmed 2009 live appearance in the United States. Joining Wailer will be Lee “Scratch” Perry, regarded as the originator and king of dub, along with Reel Big Fish, Goldfinger, Badfish and Authority Zero, representing the ska and alternative side of music. Newcomers including Ballyhoo, SOJA and Scotty Don’t round up the line-up.
Reel Big Fish, The English Beat tour announces summer co-head concerts
Ska music titans Reel Big Fish and The English Beat have announced a summer partnership that will take them to more than 20 cities across the United States. The trek kicks off July 3 at the Royal Oak Music Theatre in Royal Oak, MI.
The co-head circuit is currently booked through August 12 at Minnesota Zoo Amphitheater in Apple Valley, MN. The itinerary includes stops on July 7 at the House of Blues in Boston, MA; July 9 at the Nokia Theatre in New York, NY; July 20 at The National in Richmond, VA; and July 27 at Warehouse Live in Houston, TX.
Reel Big Fish tour kicks off New Year with worldwide dates
Ska-punk band Reel Big Fish will be going full-swing in the New Year, as the band supports its upcoming studio album with an extensive world tour. A leg of U.S. dates begins the trek on January 1 at the House of Blues in San Diego, CA, and continues through a January 25 gig at 9:30 Club in Washington, DC.
In addition to the opening show, the high-energy band will also be hitting up several House of Blues venue locations across the country: January 3 in West Hollywood, CA, January 6 in Las Vegas, NV, January 12 in Chicago, IL, and January 14 in Cleveland, OH. Other highlights for the American dates include a January 4 gig at the Grove of Anaheim in Anaheim, CA, and a January 20 performance at the Roseland Ballroom in New York, NY.
