Mets launch “Pennant Race” ticket pack including postseason ticket purchase options

FLUSHING, N.Y., (Press Release) — The New York Mets today announced that they have surpassed 3,500,000 in ticket sales for the 2007 season at Shea Stadium, marking the earliest time in franchise history that the team has reached this milestone. The Mets’ to-date sales of 3,512,362 tickets exceed last year’s total of 3,510,157 tickets sold. This season, the Mets have attracted a franchise record 18 crowds in excess of 50,000. The Mets drew 11 crowds over 50,000 in 2006.

The Mets today also launched the “Pennant Race” Ticket Pack, which features postseason ticket purchase options. The Pennant Race Pack includes games against San Diego (August 21-23), Los Angeles (August 24-26), Houston (September 7-9), Atlanta (September 10-12), Philadelphia (September 14-16), Washington (September 24-26), and Florida (September 28-30).

Sales for Season Tickets and Plans for 2007 are up 30% from last year’s same date sales. Continuing full Season Tickets holders in both 2007 and 2008 will have priority in purchasing Season Tickets at Citi Field, the Mets’ new home scheduled to open in 2009.
