As the hype builds for the Husker-USC showdown Sept. 15, the ticket prices go up and up and up. More than a few Husker ticket holders are trying to cash out their seats for more than $1,000.

Most tickets on the market are not fetching that kind of money, but don’t think you’ll land a ticket for the $65 face value when the Huskers take on the No.1-ranked University of Southern California Trojans.

And you may not find many tickets at the regular places where fans exchange tickets, such as the three Husker Hounds locations in Omaha. Store president Scott Strunc said the bigger the game, the fewer tickets that are brought into the stores, which specialize in Husker gear.
