Tuscaloosa, AL police arrested three UPS workers Wednesday and charged them with stealing University of Alabama football tickets and selling them to a ticket broker, reports DatelineAlabama.com.

The packages were en route to season ticket holders, said Tuscaloosa Police Chief Ken Swindle. The suspects worked in UPS’s warehouse and are accused of using fake address labels to divert the packages from their destinations.

Velmer Mallisham, 47, and Darryl James Crawford, 22, were each charged with theft and arrested at UPS on Sept. 17. Brooks Thomas, 24, was charged with receiving stolen property. He turned himself in on Monday.

Once the workers received the tickets, they are believed to have sold them to a legitimate ticket broker who then sold them to fans, Swindle said.
