Iconic road warrior Gregg Allman will head back out on the road Oct. 12 when he launches a month-long string of dates throughout the southeast. The 24-date concert tour wraps Nov. 11 when Allman will perform at the annual “Love Ride” charity show in Pomona, CA, near Los Angeles. More shows are expected to be confirmed for late-December into January.

The singer/songwriter/keyboardist/guitarist recently finished up a summer tour with the Allman Brothers Band. The group’s 30-date summer tour was highlighted by shows at the Newport Folk Festival and the Farm Aid benefit concert at Randall’s Island, NY along with Willie Nelson, John Mellencamp and Dave Matthews.

On the fall tour, the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer will be joined by guitarist Mark McGee, saxophonist Jay Collins, bassist Jerry Jemmott, keyboardist Bruce Katz, percussionist Floyd Miles and drummer Steve Potts.

After the Allman Brothers Band’s sold-out, 15-show residency at New York City’s Beacon Theatre in March, the group headlined their annual Wanee Festival in Florida and also appeared at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival and the Beale Street festival in Memphis. Allman and his band embarked on a brief West Coast tour in May after which he performed his first-ever shows in Italy and Poland.
