Sister Hazel will bring some holiday cheer to its legions of fans with a special set of tour dates, dubbed the “12 Days of Christmas Tour 2007,” to celebrate the recent release of their holiday record, “Santa’s Playlist.” The tour kicks off in late November in the band’s hometown of Gainesville, FL, and goes through the end of the year, featuring stops at a number of seated venues the band has not played before, such as BB King’s in New York City, the Somerville Theater in Boston, and the Neighborhood Theater in Charlotte. On the tour the five-piece band plans to play all of the songs on “Santa’s Playlist,” as well as a handful of fans’ favorite rock hits.

“Santa’s Playlist” was recorded in response to countless requests from fans, and incorporates classics and standards remade in Sister Hazel’s own unique way, obscure Christmas tunes, and several of the band’s originals. “Each of us got to bring in three songs and produce them,” explains guitarist Ryan Newell in a statement. “Being in a band with five equal voices, it was a great experience to see each one of us take turns in the producer seat,” adds vocalist/guitarist Drew Copeland.
