By Jane Cohen and Bob Grossweiner, gaining on Ticketmaster in the primary ticket market with its #2 ranking on Ticketnews’ charts, has signed an agreement with facility management firm SMG to provide ticketing services and digital ticketing functionality for the Tulsa Convention Center Arena (TCCA).

TCCA will be outfitted with’s ProVenueElite high-volume ticketing system and its client-branded ProVenueOnline Internet engine. Once installation is complete, Tulsa Convention Center Arena will begin selling tickets on its own Web site for arena events.

The 8,900-seat facility will also utilize the’s Tickets@Home feature and Access Control, enabling ticket buyers to print tickets on their home or office computers and allow the arena to capture the all-important customer data.

It will be all systems go with the Oct. 12 Tool concert onsale, with consumers having several options to purchase tickets, including online at TCCA, via telephone at 877-TUL-SACC, select Tulsa area Homeland locations or at the TCCA box office. In addition to concerts and other events, the venue is also home to Central Hockey League Tulsa Oilers and the 2007 Arena Cup Champion Tulsa Talons AF2 football team.

“We wanted a ticketing system that would allow us to sell tickets online under the Tulsa Convention Center Arena brand, in addition to giving consumers multiple channels in which to purchase tickets. has a solid footprint in the Oklahoma market and they provided the ideal solution for our needs,” said John Bolton, general manager, SMG Tulsa, in a statement.
