By Bob Grossweiner and Jane Cohen

Having just completed a string of riotous shows with the newly reunited Sex Pistols, modern punk trio The Cribs have reconfigured their recently postponed North American tour now set to kick off in Mexico City on March 8, 2008. The tour will also include a stop at this year’s annual SXSW Music/Film Conference/Festival in Austin, TX on March 13-14, before coming to an end in Los Angeles on April 4. This will be the band’s biggest U.S. tour to date and will immediately follow their largest UK headlining tour to date as well.

The Cribs have been busy writing lots of new material and have already began recording new songs with producer and ex-Suede guitarist, Bernard Butler, with whom the band has worked on earlier recordings. The band expects to release a new UK EP early next year.
