OneRepublic, one of 2007’s most surprising and promising new bands, launches its first headlining tour Jan. 15 in Phoenix, AZ, with dates booked into early February. The band has sold nearly 2 million legal downloads of its first single, “Apologize,” and its MySpace page has logged more than 22 million song plays.

“Apologize” is in its seventh week at #1 on the Top 40 chart and has rocketed to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 Chart (currently #3), where it has maintained a spot in the Top 5 for ten consecutive weeks. The band’s debut album, “Dreaming Out Loud,” has sold 150,000 copies in just three weeks.

OneRepublic, formed in 2003, has already made an historic impact on radio. The remixed “Apologize,” heard on “Timbaland Presents: Shock Value,” shattered the record for the most number of Top 40 airplay spins in one week (10,600+). The song’s original version is heard on “Dreaming Out Loud” that was released Nov. 20 on Timbaland’s Mosley Music Group imprint via Interscope Records.
