Comedian and actor Larry the Cable Guy, singer/songwriter Jimmy Buffet and the Detroit Tigers are among the entertainment and sports onsales for this weekend ending March 3, as compiled by TicketNews.
In addition to the Tigers, the St. Louis Cardinals, San Diego Padres and Arizona Diamondbacks also have single game tickets on sale beginning this weekend. Those teams join Atlanta Braves, New York Yankees, Anaheim Angels, Cleveland Indians and Seattle Mariners, which are also offering single game tickets on sale this weekend.
Larry the Cable Guy is not the only comedian with an onsale this weekend. Rising actor/comedian Katt Williams, recently seen in the film First Sunday, also has multiple shows on the East Coast on sale Saturday.
Kanye West has multiple dates for his Glow in the Dark Tour, featuring Rihanna, N.E.R.D and Lupe Fiasco, on sale this weekend. Piano man Billy Joel also has several concerts on sale Saturday. Joel’s former touring partner Elton John has two California concerts on sale Monday morning. Carrie Underwood and Keith Urban’s joint concert tour also has multiple dates on sale throughout the weekend.
Other concerts on sale include alternative rockers Death Cab for Cutie, who have a concert at the Filmore Theater in San Franciso on sale, and country group Rascal Flatts, who have a concert date in Fresno on sale also this weekend.
“Onsales” is a ticketing industry term describing when tickets initially go on sale to the general public. Each week, tickets are released by promoters, venues and others to dozens of events, but the number of tickets available can vary significantly between locations.
