Bullet For My Valentine, one of the most notable metal exports to come from the United Kingdom in the last few years, will kick off their 2008 headlining tour on July 14 in Milwaukee, WI. The North American trek will wind down on August 16 in Detroit, MI; a second leg will run throughout September, with dates to be announed shortly.

The tour is in support of the band’s latest album “Scream Aim Fire,” which debuted at #4 in the U.S. and simultaneously in the Top 5 in the UK, Australia, Germany and Japan.

Joining Bullet For My Valentine for the tour will be Bleeding Through and on select dates, Cancer Bats and Black Tide. Tickets go on sale to the general public this weekend.

With a sound that merges slamming vintage thrash metal (a la Metallica), tricky song structures (a la Iron Maiden), and roaring vocals (a la Pantera), Bullet For My Valentine have all the bases covered. The quartet – Matthew Tuck (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Michael “Padge” Paget (lead guitar, vocals), Jason “Jay” James (bass, vocals), and Michael “Moose” Thomas (drums) – formed in 1998 and began building a name for themselves on the strength of their 2005 full-length debut, “The Poison,” which has sold more than 1 million copies worldwide.
