Guitarist Steve Lukather, who in June officially announced the break up of Toto after 31 years, is busy on the road promoting his new album “Ever Changing Times.” The four-month international tour began June 20 in Soenderborg, DEN, and has dates booked well into the fall.
Lukather’s touring band features Ricky E. Zahariades (guitars, vocals), Steve Weingart (keyboards), Carlitos Del Puerto (bass/vocals) and Eric Valentine (drums/vocals). Weingart has previously played with El Grupo and Dave Weckl; Valentine with T-Ride and Joe Satriani.
On tour, Lukather is doing songs from his solo records “Lukather,” “Candyman,” “Luke,” and “Ever Changing Times,” with a few songs he wrote for other people as well as some covers. He will be performing some Toto album cuts that he wrote and sang but no ballads or hits.
