Tickets for the upcoming concert by teen heartthrobs the Jonas Brothers as well as tickets for the upcoming 2008-2009 NBA season are on sale throughout the week ending October 4 as compiled by TicketNews.
On sale this week are tickets to several concerts. In the onsales for Friday are tickets to catch R&B superstar Usher in concert in Chicago. Also in the onsales for Friday are tickets for two upcoming tour stops by O.A.R. in Iowa and Massachusetts, rockers Yes in concert in Cincinnati and Louisville, and Bob Dylan in Milwaukee and Minneapolis.
In the onsales for Saturday are tickets to catch teen dreams the Jonas Brothers in concert in San Diego. Also on sale are tickets for upcoming concerts from The Smashing Pumpkins in New York City and Universal City, CA, and tickets to catch The Plain White T’s in New Orleans.
Finally this week, there are several opportunities to buy tickets to upcoming sporting events. Multiple NBA teams have single game tickets on sale for their upcoming seasons. Tickets for the Detroit Pistons go on sale Wednesday morning, tickets for the Chicago Bulls and Miami Heat are in the onsales for Friday, and tickets for the Minnesota Timberwolves, New Orleans Hornets, Dallas Mavericks, LA Clippers, Milwaukee Bucks, LA Lakers, and San Antonio Spurs are on sale Saturday morning. Also on sale this week are tickets for upcoming games for the Harlem Globetrotters basketball team. Rounding out the week’s sporting events are tickets for the 133rd Annual Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show, which go on sale Wednesday morning.
“Onsales” is a ticketing industry term describing when tickets initially go on sale to the general public. Each week, tickets are released by promoters, venues and others to dozens of events, but the number of tickets available can vary significantly between locations.
