While the outcome for University of Virginia football fans was not what they would have hoped last week when the team lost at home to USC, at least anyone who was willing to pay for tickets could buy them from scalpers.

The City of Charlottesville, VA does not restrict ticket resale, so scalpers are welcome to resell tickets to Cavaliers’s football games. And, as the video below from WVIR-TV shows, city authorities only concern was that any scalping activity did not stop traffic or cause a disturbance. Resellers who impede traffic could face being arrested.

The USC Trojans won the August 30 game 52-7, so Virginia fans might not have gotten their money’s worth for those tickets.
