Sixteen NFL teams will play their final home games of the regular season on December 28, as the league prepares for the upcoming Super Bowl. Among those on the schedule, the Green Bay Packers will face the Detroit Lions at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, WI; the Indianapolis Colts will host the Tennessee Titans at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, IN; and the Philadelphia Eagles will take on the Dallas Cowboys at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, PA.
Singer Amy Grant and husband Vince Gill will wrap their holiday tour tonight (December 23) at Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, TN. The musical couple has been touring together since their December 4 kick-off in Albany, NY, following Grant’s earlier solo jaunt. Country musician Gill will continue solo in 2009 with a number of dates slated throughout the year. This week also marks the last chance for fans to catch R&B vocalist Chris Brown in concert. On December 27, the Grammy nominated performer will hit the stage at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, CT, to close out his 2008 touring season.
Finally, two Cirque Du Soleil residencies will conclude their runs this week. The cast of the Corteo show will depart the Grand Chapiteau at Bicentennial Park in Miami, FL, after five final performances scheduled between December 26 and 28. The venue has hosted Corteo since November 13, and the show will move to Tokyo for a February through May run in the New Year. The final 2008 productions of Cirque Dreams Holidaze will grace the stage at Trump Plaza in Atlantic City, NJ, this week. Shows are scheduled through December 28 for the program, which has been at Trump Plaza since November 28.
