“Ticket News Announces Top Ticket Sellers for Week Ending December 13, 2008”
December 18, 2008 (Vernon, CT) – TicketNews announces top ticket sellers rankings for the week ending December 13, 2008.
TOP 20 OVERALL SELLERS
Live Nation, which fell from fourth to sixth place in the overall ranking this week, found itself on the defensive when Black Sabbath lead guitarist Anthony Iommi sued the company for alleged trademark infringement. Iommi claims that Live Nation subsidiary Signatures Network continued to sell Black Sabbath merchandise after its contract with the band expired in 2006.
In other news, number one overall Ticketmaster began to see its stock rise a bit this week, following weeks of disappointing numbers. The stock trades under the symbol TKTM, and earlier today it was still up over $6.20 per share.
The top three positions in the Top Overall Ticket Sellers rankings remained unchanged this past week with Ticketmaster, StubHub and TicketsNow holding onto their respective spots. Tickets.com was able to move back to number four, after jumping up from number six last week.

TOP 20 SECONDARY SELLERS
The top five secondary sellers held onto the same rankings from previous week with StubHub remaining the cream of the crop with a power score of 28.45. RazorGator and TickCo swapped positions at the five and six spots in the rankings, and TicketCity and EventTicketsCenter both climbed a couple of spots into the Top Ten.
