Dave Butler, previously the CEO of ticket solutions provider Paciolan, was named president of Ticketmaster North America, parent company Ticketmaster Entertainment announced this week.
Paciolan was acquired by Ticketmaster in 2007 at the beginning of Ticketmaster’s aggressive spending spree, which later included the buying of secondary ticket company TicketsNow. At the time of the acquisition, Paciolan had more than 200 clients using its primary ticketing products.
Butler will now reportedly oversee Ticketmaster’s core business of primary ticketing in the U.S. and Canadian markets, and will is expected to report to Ticketmaster President and CEO Sean Moriarty. The company’s six regional vice presidents in North America will now report to Butler.
